Vicky Leandros and George Dalaras collaborate for a few concerts in Europe.
Two of the most important Greek artists will meet on stage to perform their most famous songs - solo and duet.
Vicky Leandros wrote the history of music: although she comes from Greece and lives in Germany since 1957, she has represented Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest twice. In 1972, her song “Après toi” won the competition. Vicky Leandros is one of the most successful singers in the world and has sold more than 55 million records translated in eight languages. Vicky Leandros has collaborated and continues to collaborate with some of the world's leading composers, producers, conductors and performers. She is one of the most popular singers in the international music industry.
Dalaras is one of Greece’s most important musical ambassadors. In the course of a career that has lasted more than 40 years so far, this popular folksinger has sold more than 12 million records and released some 70 CDs, several of which have gone multi-platinum. His powerful, melancholic voice invariably entrances his fans. Although George (Giorgos) Dalaras has never strayed far from his musical roots, in recent years he has successfully introduced elements of Latin, Rock, Eastern, and folk music into his repertoire. He has worked with a great many other artists, including Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Al Di Meola, Paco de Lucía, Jethro Tull, Goran Bregovic, and Dulce Pontes. George Dalaras was the first Greek singer to fill major venues outside his homeland. He has appeared in renowned concert halls such as the Royal Albert Hall (London) and the Olympia (Paris) and has also triumphed at many important international festivals. He even had the honour of performing at Nelson Mandela’s birthday party. His concerts in Belgium are always a great success. Now he comes back to Brussels at the Palais 12 together with none other than Vicky Leandros.
