Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is one of the greatest Pakistani singers of qawwali music. He is trained by his uncle and qawwali legend Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, qawwali, coming from a family with a background that goes back about 600 years. In addition to qawwali he sings his biggest Bollywood hits.

Qawwali is the religious music of the Sufis, coming from Pakistan. The genre originated in the tenth century from the fusion of Persian and Central Asian poetry with North Indian musical elements.

With more than 50 albums, more than 50 title songs for television series and more than 100 movie songs and dozens of hits in recent years, the voice of Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan as asset for a successful Bollywood movie. Still he scores hits with numbers for the largest Bollywood productions. Not only in India, but worldwide.
